Everything we do as a business is focused on giving organisations of any size the opportunity, and the ability, to communicate with their customers via text.

We believe it should be a simple, cost-effective and reliable process. A process which offers genuine value to both the business and their customers.

Although the technology has been around since the early 90s, it’s only in the last decade that large companies have really started to utilise this most popular form of communication to interact with their customers on a regular basis.

Even more surprising, is that up until relatively recently, effective bulk SMS systems have been mainly out of reach to smaller businesses and independent organisations.

Recognising a gap in the market, brothers Brian and Colin McGeachie came up with an idea to bridge the gap between the technology and the overall understanding of how text messaging could be best deployed in their customers’ businesses.

This bridge became FareText Limited. Brian, with his background in Sales and Marketing, Colin, with his background in IT and their shared career within the telecommunications industry allowed them to develop a unique proposition.

Honesty. Integrity. Quality of service. These are all fundamental to the way Brian works. In fact, he makes sure he follows through on them, consistently, for both his business and his customers.

Having spent much of his career crafting out a niche for himself in Sales and Marketing roles, his flair for communications has shone through all the campaigns he’s managed. Realistic and achievable sales growth has been the result for him as well as the companies he’s worked with.

An entrepreneur at heart, Brian has always been passionate about what he does! He has previously co-founded and operated several successful enterprises within the telecoms and renewable energy industries.

Established by Brian and his brother Colin, FareText is more than just the ‘next venture’ for this experienced marketer and accomplished salesman. It’s what Brian pours all his efforts into, it’s the one he has all the dreams and hopes for, it’s the only enterprise he now owns and operates.

The harder the problem, the better he feels.

Chalk vs cheese. Creativity vs technology. Ideas vs logic. That’s the McGeachie brothers in a nutshell. Where Brian has the creative flair, Colin was the one who tinkered from computers from early age. He just needed to know how things worked!

This skill has separated Colin from most. And although he probably wouldn’t admit it, he loves puzzles and will spend many patient hours figuring out complex problems.

Highly logical and driven by a desire to find a solution to a problem, Colin has worked at the coalface of IT support, designed IT infrastructures and previously been very successful as a pre-sales Technical Consultant.

He is the ‘go to’ troubleshooter guy, the one that is adept at explaining the most complicated of issues in a way that anyone can understand.

 Which is why FareText is Colin’s baby - and like a proud father, a large quantity of his time is spent on developing his child. He loves what FareText stands for. He will do anything to ensure that the technology behind it is the very best available at the time.

What we do.

Over the years, Brian and Colin have developed a product that allows businesses to relate to how texts might be used within their organisation, whilst utilising the very best of bulk SMS technology available.

By adopting this approach with each and every customer, FareText has grown from humble beginnings, sending out tens of thousands of text-on-approach texts for the taxi industry, to sending millions of solicited texts per month for a diverse range of customers across many types of industries.

We pride ourselves on our ability to evaluate every campaign critically so as to improve on the next.

Ethically – We send absolutely no SPAM. Everything we do send is solicited. And we only provide organisations with our text message solutions if there is a genuine business need.

Through Relationships – We’re ‘people people’. FareText has grown thanks to our ability to maintain long-term relationships with all of our customers. Whilst we are always active on developing new relationships, we always ensure that we continue to deliver on the expectations of an existing loyal customer.
